 Sunday, March 31, 2024 (Easter Sunday)


This morning first thing, we got up and got ready to go to our first baptism on our mission. We didn't have anything to do with it other than show up. It was a really nice baptism. I girl that has only been a member for 2 or 3 months spoke on the Holy Ghost. She was very nervous and didn't really say anything about the Holy Ghost, but her effort brought the spirit, so what better example of how the Holy Ghost works. The person who got baptized was a young man named Jacobi Gibson. Picture below. He is on the right of the lady in the turquoise dress.

Sacrament meeting was really good. It was focused on Easter and the Resurrection. Two of the young missionaries spoke and and Elder Rogers who is a senior missionary gave an excellent talk on the last week of the Saviors life. It was very good. Oh, they also confirmed Jacobi at the beginning of sacrament meeting. We also took a branch picture after Church (Below) The people here are a beautiful people and very friendly.

After church the Barbados Zone and all the new missionaries went to the mission presidents home for lunch. The mission presidents name is President and Sister Bickmore. I've seen their first names, but I can't remember what they are. After dinner they took us a picture and sent everyone home. 

We are still having a little jetlag and came back to the house and took a nap. At 5:30 pm the Ellis' came by, actually they live right behind us, and we all walked down to the beach. It is about 2 or 3 minutes away. It was beautiful. They have a board walk and we walked it and then we sat and watched the sunset. It was really nice.

We called Cade to see how they are doing. They are driving back from Las Vegas. I guess they went to a magic show down there. They left their kids at Tanner and Scarlett's while they went.

Wednesday, April 9, 2025 Make a video for our home ward in US Today was a build a video day for our ward back home. They are having a special primary day activity on Friday and they asked us to create a short video with our testimonies.  So I had to learn a new video maker program. I have always used Windows Movie Maker, but they no longer support it and someone else I think owns it and you can use the free version, but it is very limited. Windows 11 comes with a new program called Clipchamp. I think it is also supported by an outside company, but the free version that comes with Windows 11 has all the features I needed.  I did have to read up on how to use it and watched a bunch of Youtube videos for beginners. Between learning how to use it and using it to create a 2 minute video took all day. I finally got it done about 6:00 pm. Sunday, June 22, 2025 Sunday church was pretty smooth. Elder Esikia spoke and goes home next Saturday Lyris Davis spoke on fearing God Harvey showed up but didn't stick around My brother Bevin visiting my sister Tanya Interviewed Mohamad Joseph for temple recommend and Priesthood advancement Benjamin Joseph always asking for stuff from the church Confirmed Anette Valcin today Church went pretty smooth today. Shomario is conducting this month. He got his speakers but I think he got them late. The fact that Maya Jn Paul spoke would make me think that he probably hadn't got his speakers and asked her Saturday night. He asked Elder Esikia to speak and I gave him that suggestion on Saturday so I'm assuming he hadn't got his speakers yet. Elder Esikia spoke on how he decided to go on a mission.
