We had more snow today and it was very cold.

Tina and I have never really studied the gospel together, but there was a devotional or some training we had this week and they told a story of a mission home that had a bad feel about it. I can't remember who, but someone suggested that every couple there have companion study. Once they did and I can't remember what the miracle was, but it changed the mission. At any rate Tina and I are trying to hold companion study every morning. Right now we are reading the missionary handbook together. I know it is nothing to heavy, but it is a start. We hope it will move into other more revelatory and spiritual things. Especially when it comes to teaching others and we are planning things to teach and we are seeking the guidance of the Holy Ghost. So far it is going pretty good, although we both have opinions about things and we have to work to come to an agreement on them. We will get better.

This morning our class time at the MTC was about working with the young adults. The young adults today are called Gen Z. There are some very interesting statistics about this group. I won't go into to much detail, but suffice it to say, as a whole in the entire world, they have a lot of challenges. One point they did make about them is they have an attention span of about 8 seconds. So when you teach them it need to be done in short segments. Anyway, they are amazing in many different ways. In the church they are certainly heeding the call of the prophet for more missionaries. 

At lunch we ate with 3 young sister missionaries, one from Japan, one from Philippines, and one from Taiwan. On the other side of us were two elders from one from Peru and the Mexico. These young missionaries look so young, but they are full of excitement about their missions. They were all learning English. The three sisters were all going to Hawaii and the elders somewhere in the United States.

This afternoon we continued one of my favorite things to do, roll play 😭. The world has really changed since I served my first mission. A lot of the teachings we are going over are rules to protect ourselves and the church. Can't hug, got to be careful how we document investigators to protect their privacy and other crazy stuff like that. The world has changed.

This evening we went to a Devotional and the speaker was Carl B. Cook one of the Presidents of the Seventy. He taught from the Preach my Gospel and focused on one item that has been added to the latest version of PMG. It was integrity. It was a good devotional.

Today is our son Tanner's birthday. He turned 31. He has done well in his work at Bio-Life and is managing his own store. I think they really like him there. He says it does take 50-60 hours a week and he gets a little tired of that. Also, his wife Scarlett just finished up student teaching and she was hired today by the Clark county school districts. I guess they really liked her.
