Today was a bit of a relaxing day. We got with the Halls and rans some errands. They wanted to buy a few souvenirs for their grandchildren. We went to a mall and they picked up a few items. After that we went and visited some members.

We first went to Rouchell Raphael's home. It is a very humble place. Rouchell is missing a leg and gets around in a wheel chair. She owns a little shop where she sales food that she and others that work for her make. She has another member who was just baptized about a month ago working for her. His name is Darren Barbe.

Darren lives in a small shipping container and has no running water, electricity or anything else. It is just a place to get out of the weather as near as I could tell. He is very skinny and I guess doesn't eat regularly. It is funny, these people are dirt poor, but they seem to be happy. We visited for about 30 minutes or so.

After leaving Rouchell's home we went to Aaron Holders home. He was baptized last year. He is an older gentleman and seems to be very committed to the church. We talk about getting ready to go to the temple. We also had a question about him being an Elder. The church records indicate that he is a Priest in the Aaronic priesthood. Elder Hall is sure he was ordained an Elder. He found an email that indicated he was ordained on October 29, 2023. I sent a message to the District Clerk asking him about it and he is going to look into it. The picture below show the setup they use on most houses here to heat their hot water.

We went out to towards Pidgeon Island and had lunch at an oceanside cafe. After that we rode out to Pidgeon Island, which is not exactly an island any more as they have built a road out to it. After looking around there for a bit we went to Cas En Bas Beach on the North end of St. Lucia. The Halls said the wind always blows here.

This evening we had Karaoke at the church. It was a fun evening and quite a few people came. We got done about 8:30 pm

Wednesday, April 9, 2025 Make a video for our home ward in US Today was a build a video day for our ward back home. They are having a special primary day activity on Friday and they asked us to create a short video with our testimonies.  So I had to learn a new video maker program. I have always used Windows Movie Maker, but they no longer support it and someone else I think owns it and you can use the free version, but it is very limited. Windows 11 comes with a new program called Clipchamp. I think it is also supported by an outside company, but the free version that comes with Windows 11 has all the features I needed.  I did have to read up on how to use it and watched a bunch of Youtube videos for beginners. Between learning how to use it and using it to create a 2 minute video took all day. I finally got it done about 6:00 pm. Sunday, June 22, 2025 Sunday church was pretty smooth. Elder Esikia spoke and goes home next Saturday Lyris Davis spoke on fearing God Harvey showed up but didn't stick around My brother Bevin visiting my sister Tanya Interviewed Mohamad Joseph for temple recommend and Priesthood advancement Benjamin Joseph always asking for stuff from the church Confirmed Anette Valcin today Church went pretty smooth today. Shomario is conducting this month. He got his speakers but I think he got them late. The fact that Maya Jn Paul spoke would make me think that he probably hadn't got his speakers and asked her Saturday night. He asked Elder Esikia to speak and I gave him that suggestion on Saturday so I'm assuming he hadn't got his speakers yet. Elder Esikia spoke on how he decided to go on a mission.
