- Darren Barbe Service Project
This morning we had several members of the branch and the missionaries go to Darren Barbe's home to clean it up. He lives in a 20 shipping container and it is all rusted out so rats and mice come in and really create a mess. Darren just recently was released from the hospital so we felt like a branch service project would help him out some. It was a real mess. Were were there for a couple of hours and we took everything out of his container then hauled all the junk out and swept the floors. He told me that he has lived in that container for 15 years or more. That is amazing. Anyway we took everything out and swept it out and the walls as best we could and then bought some screen mesh to plug the holes and try to keep small critters out. We also bug sprayed it to kill all the insects that were in all his stuff. We then hauled it all back in. See group picture. It was a good project I think and really lifted his spirits.
After I took Corey, Lambert, Celena George and Yohan Pierre home. We also took a truck load of garbage to the landfill. Talk about a gross place. The landfill was disgusting.
