  • Darren Barbe project finished up, mostly
  • Hurricane Beryl headed our way
  • The best barbecue and it's just down the street from where we live

This morning I got up early and went and picked up Lambert and Donavan to go and try to finish our project at Darren's place. I also invited Linke Jn Paul to come along. This is Tasha's husband, he is not a member, but a very good guy. I didn't know if he would come, but he did and was a great help. He is one of those get it done type of guys. And he is tall which helped a lot. And he had a ladder which we needed. We had one from the church, but needed a second to hold the sheet metal up that we were going to put on the side to keep the rain out. We got the sheet metal up and it will keep the rain from getting on Darren's container which is rusted on top. Hopefully by raising the slope of the roof and and the sheet metal up it won't drip any more. We wanted to get it sealed up before tomorrow.

We have a possibility of a Hurricane coming our way. I think it is supposed to miss us mostly and is expected to be a tropical wave, but we don't know for sure. It is evening time and it is really raining right now. The storm is not supposed to hit until tomorrow afternoon. We are hoping it doesn't affect church.

This evening we finally stopped by a house up the road. They have about 4 smokers at the side of their house and they are always cooking something. They sale it of course. Every time we drive by we can see the smokers going and we say, "we need to stop there and try it out", but never have, that is until tonight. They were selling smoked pork and chicken and you could buy rice with it. The place was packed this evening. Well I am here to tell you it was delicious. It could be our new favorite place to eat.

Wednesday, April 9, 2025 Make a video for our home ward in US Today was a build a video day for our ward back home. They are having a special primary day activity on Friday and they asked us to create a short video with our testimonies.  So I had to learn a new video maker program. I have always used Windows Movie Maker, but they no longer support it and someone else I think owns it and you can use the free version, but it is very limited. Windows 11 comes with a new program called Clipchamp. I think it is also supported by an outside company, but the free version that comes with Windows 11 has all the features I needed.  I did have to read up on how to use it and watched a bunch of Youtube videos for beginners. Between learning how to use it and using it to create a 2 minute video took all day. I finally got it done about 6:00 pm. Sunday, June 22, 2025 Sunday church was pretty smooth. Elder Esikia spoke and goes home next Saturday Lyris Davis spoke on fearing God Harvey showed up but didn't stick around My brother Bevin visiting my sister Tanya Interviewed Mohamad Joseph for temple recommend and Priesthood advancement Benjamin Joseph always asking for stuff from the church Confirmed Anette Valcin today Church went pretty smooth today. Shomario is conducting this month. He got his speakers but I think he got them late. The fact that Maya Jn Paul spoke would make me think that he probably hadn't got his speakers and asked her Saturday night. He asked Elder Esikia to speak and I gave him that suggestion on Saturday so I'm assuming he hadn't got his speakers yet. Elder Esikia spoke on how he decided to go on a mission.
