In our companion study if we have a member we are going to visit we try to put together a lesson plan. We have made several and for some reason when we get the persons house we never get to it. It is a little frustrating at times because we feel we have a very good message to share and never get to share it. 

Today we had an appointment to go see Sister Alleyne and we prepared a message and a plan to ask her to be a minister to the new convert Linda Joseph. We got there and visited for quite a while, she likes to talk because she is home and can't get out. I don't know if I mentioned that her husband, who is not a member, is somewhat famous as he was a sailing ship captain and was in the Pirates of the Caribbean. His ship was in the first one I think and it was also used in the movie Roots. He told us about the ship and he had a picture of it on the wall. I asked him if we could take a picture of him and I with some pictures he had on the wall. He was happy to let me take a picture.

Just a note about the ship. It looked like one of those old gallant sailing ships used in the Pirates movies. He was telling me that he was sailing it to another island to get it cleaned and as they were going along he heard and felt a thump. I guess they sailed on. One of the crew happened to go below the deck and the ship was filling up with water. He found out later that a cargo ship had lost 3 containers and they had sunk in shallower water, but were under a few feet and they had hit one and it put a big gash in the bottom of the boat and it was sinking and eventually sank. He was devastated

He did tell a story about it when it was sinking that was probably not to funny at the time, but he chuckled about it when he was telling it. He said there was a crew of 10 men on the ship. He was trying to locate them all and get them off to a life boat. He was not going to leave the ship until every man was accounted for. He got 9 into the life boat, but he could not find the 10th man. He was not going to leave the ship until he did. As the ship was sinking he realized he was the 10th man and got off just in time.

Oh, before we went to Sister Alleyne's we went and found this beach that the missionaries told us about. It was pretty nice. We may just go back to it sometime.

Wednesday, April 9, 2025 Make a video for our home ward in US Today was a build a video day for our ward back home. They are having a special primary day activity on Friday and they asked us to create a short video with our testimonies.  So I had to learn a new video maker program. I have always used Windows Movie Maker, but they no longer support it and someone else I think owns it and you can use the free version, but it is very limited. Windows 11 comes with a new program called Clipchamp. I think it is also supported by an outside company, but the free version that comes with Windows 11 has all the features I needed.  I did have to read up on how to use it and watched a bunch of Youtube videos for beginners. Between learning how to use it and using it to create a 2 minute video took all day. I finally got it done about 6:00 pm. Sunday, June 22, 2025 Sunday church was pretty smooth. Elder Esikia spoke and goes home next Saturday Lyris Davis spoke on fearing God Harvey showed up but didn't stick around My brother Bevin visiting my sister Tanya Interviewed Mohamad Joseph for temple recommend and Priesthood advancement Benjamin Joseph always asking for stuff from the church Confirmed Anette Valcin today Church went pretty smooth today. Shomario is conducting this month. He got his speakers but I think he got them late. The fact that Maya Jn Paul spoke would make me think that he probably hadn't got his speakers and asked her Saturday night. He asked Elder Esikia to speak and I gave him that suggestion on Saturday so I'm assuming he hadn't got his speakers yet. Elder Esikia spoke on how he decided to go on a mission.
