  • Sister missionaries car to the service garage
  • Caren Kennedy and her landlord meeting, Very frustrating
  • Ice cream shop

This morning we got up and drove to the sister missionaries house to pick up their car to take it to Beachcombers for service. Normally, the Sisters would have just taken it themselves but Sister Stephenson has had a bad migraine for the last 3 or 4 days and she is the driver and didn't feel like driving. We went to take the car back to them this evening and she was asleep and still having headaches. I asked Sister Stone if Sister Stephenson had had a priesthood blessing and she has not, but said if it is still a problem tomorrow she will get a blessing. 

Anyway after we dropped the car off we went down town to to meet Lambert at the Castries City building and there was supposed to be some lumber there that we could pick up. We talked to the guy who we were told to speak with and he seemed bent on not helping us out. He wouldn't look to see if the they had the wood and who were we that he should give us the wood. Lambert was got pretty excited that the guy wouldn't help us, but he calmed down, but the guy still wouldn't help us. Frustrating.

At 1:00 pm we met with a landlord of one of our members Caren Kennedy who rent's from her. I guess when covid hit she got way behind on her rent and went through a divorce. Now she owes about $30,000 EC. We were hoping she would lower the amount, but she wouldn't budge. She wanted the church to loan her the money, but the church doesn't do that. She couldn't understand that. Anyway it was a frustrating meeting. As I said yesterday, we started a fast in behalf of this meeting so the fact it appears it did not work out we were will little down. We do trust that something good will come as we know the Lord honors his promises, even though at this point we don't know how it is going to all work out. I promised her it would. One thing we are working on is trying to help her get a credit card. We think that will increase her business because she said that a lot of people come and want to buy things, but since she only takes cash they don't buy. 

After this meeting we took Caren home and went home and had dinner. We then went back an got the car for the sisters as I mentioned above. We stopped at this ice cream shop and bought an ice cream. From the outside it looked like it would have all kinds of specialty ice cream, but when we got in there their selection was pretty limited. I just got some ice cream with chocolate on top.

Wednesday, April 9, 2025 Make a video for our home ward in US Today was a build a video day for our ward back home. They are having a special primary day activity on Friday and they asked us to create a short video with our testimonies.  So I had to learn a new video maker program. I have always used Windows Movie Maker, but they no longer support it and someone else I think owns it and you can use the free version, but it is very limited. Windows 11 comes with a new program called Clipchamp. I think it is also supported by an outside company, but the free version that comes with Windows 11 has all the features I needed.  I did have to read up on how to use it and watched a bunch of Youtube videos for beginners. Between learning how to use it and using it to create a 2 minute video took all day. I finally got it done about 6:00 pm. Sunday, June 22, 2025 Sunday church was pretty smooth. Elder Esikia spoke and goes home next Saturday Lyris Davis spoke on fearing God Harvey showed up but didn't stick around My brother Bevin visiting my sister Tanya Interviewed Mohamad Joseph for temple recommend and Priesthood advancement Benjamin Joseph always asking for stuff from the church Confirmed Anette Valcin today Church went pretty smooth today. Shomario is conducting this month. He got his speakers but I think he got them late. The fact that Maya Jn Paul spoke would make me think that he probably hadn't got his speakers and asked her Saturday night. He asked Elder Esikia to speak and I gave him that suggestion on Saturday so I'm assuming he hadn't got his speakers yet. Elder Esikia spoke on how he decided to go on a mission.
