• Hurricane Beryl

Well today was the day that Hurricane Beryl was supposed to hit. We sat around all day with some gusty winds and some rain, but the hurricane mostly missed us. 

But...Tonight after the Hurricane had passed, we were pounded with rain and wind. They said the airport in Vieux Fort got 43 cm, about 17 inches of rain. If there was going to be any damage it happened late after the hurricane had passed. It must have been the tail end of it. 

This evening when it started getting dark, the power went off and was off for about 2 hours. By the time we went to bed everything was back to normal, other than it was still raining.

Granada and St Vincent were not so lucky. Especially Granada. It was pretty much destroyed. I watched videos that people had took after the Hurricane passed and it looked like a desert. There were no leaves left on trees and they said that 98% of the structures were damaged or destroyed. I contacted Elder Morrill who is on St Vincent now and he said they have damage and their power was out, but not to bad. I also contacted Elder Sabin who is on Granada and he said the damage was pretty server. They were out of everything, power, water, etc. Not There must have been some cell towers survive, because he responded on Messenger on how they were doing. 

We are praying for them and our hearts go out to them.
