  • Hurricane Beryl category 4 headed our way
  • Challenge Ashton and Crystal to get married
Today we had church, but only Sacrament Meeting. We let everyone go home early to prepare for the oncoming Hurricane Beryl. It has hit category 4. We go on lockdown at 8:30pm tonight. Meaning we are not supposed to go out side after that time. They are not exactly sure where it is going to hit, but Granada and St Vincent are not looking good. We are also in line for it, but I think it is moving South

After church we had to do tithing, Yohan and I. We always seem to have trouble with it. And of course we did again today. We had two batches to do because we didn't do last weeks. Some how they got messed up and it took a while to fix. We finally got it done, we think and I took Yohan and his wife Sharlyne home. We picked up a lady that is investigating the church and gave her a ride home also. I can't remember her name. 

We met the missionaries at Sister Jane's home. We wanted to talk to Ashton and Crystal about getting married so Crystal could get baptized. They are really dragging their feet. At first it was because Ashton was not divorced from his first wife. The divorce has now been finaled, but they are still dragging their feet on marriage and baptism. They say they want to make sure it is right and Crystal want's a fancy wedding but they can't afford it. We really challenged them to set a date and start working towards it. They seem to be hesitant about it, so I wonder how committed Crystal is about being baptized. 

It was getting late so we ended the visit and went home and pretty much sat around for the rest of the evening. We did talk to Tanner about coming with the Hurricane and all. It is supposed to be gone by Monday night and they are flying in on Tuesday. 

Hurricane Beryl is headed our way at Category 4

Wednesday, April 9, 2025 Make a video for our home ward in US Today was a build a video day for our ward back home. They are having a special primary day activity on Friday and they asked us to create a short video with our testimonies.  So I had to learn a new video maker program. I have always used Windows Movie Maker, but they no longer support it and someone else I think owns it and you can use the free version, but it is very limited. Windows 11 comes with a new program called Clipchamp. I think it is also supported by an outside company, but the free version that comes with Windows 11 has all the features I needed.  I did have to read up on how to use it and watched a bunch of Youtube videos for beginners. Between learning how to use it and using it to create a 2 minute video took all day. I finally got it done about 6:00 pm. Sunday, June 22, 2025 Sunday church was pretty smooth. Elder Esikia spoke and goes home next Saturday Lyris Davis spoke on fearing God Harvey showed up but didn't stick around My brother Bevin visiting my sister Tanya Interviewed Mohamad Joseph for temple recommend and Priesthood advancement Benjamin Joseph always asking for stuff from the church Confirmed Anette Valcin today Church went pretty smooth today. Shomario is conducting this month. He got his speakers but I think he got them late. The fact that Maya Jn Paul spoke would make me think that he probably hadn't got his speakers and asked her Saturday night. He asked Elder Esikia to speak and I gave him that suggestion on Saturday so I'm assuming he hadn't got his speakers yet. Elder Esikia spoke on how he decided to go on a mission.
