Today was my Lambert Marquis day. I went and picked him up this morning and we were going to go do some visits. First to Angie McCaunley then Jane Nurse. 

It was very rainy today, but we made our way out to visit Angie. We both thought we knew where she lived and in the end, we did, but they were working on the road  and so it made it not look familiar and we even started on it, but because it was all tore up we decided we had the wrong road. We kept going in circles and ending up back at this gap with a bus stop and a girl there selling fruit and local juices. We finally stopped and asked her if she new Angie and Lambert gave her the location we were trying to get to. She did not know Angie (which was a little surprising because they all seem to know each other. Anyway we finally called Angie and she said she would walk down and look for us. We thought that was a good idea, problem was we were not even in the right area and her phone only worked when she had WIFI at home so we couldn't call her. After we didn't show up she went back home and called us on a video call. She wanted to see where we were. Believe it or not that worked as she could tell where we were and give us directions. It turns out the road that was all tore up was the road we were supposed to be on and it went right to Angie's house. She really let us have the what-for for not being able to find her.

The reason we went there was to see what we could help repair as she has many problems with her house. It is all plywood and built with flimsy boards and certainly would withstand the "big bad wolf" blowing on it. At any rate we took and assessment of what needed to be done and made a list of things we need to purchase. Then we proceeded to talk for an hour or two about all the problems of the world. Lambert is very good at that. 

One thing that really bothers me is the children. Henry who is 20 and does have a night job, just sits around all day at the computer or his phone. Angie has a daughter Kennisha who has a boyfriend and he doesn't have a job and just sits around the house all day. I told Angie to kick him out, and she wants to but her daughter is fighting it. I say if he is not contributing send him down the road. It kind of makes you not want to help them when they have capable people in the home that do nothing. Angie is not able to work because of her back, her husband was killed in a car wreck. So she only has a little money from what Henry and Kennisha contribute.  Which isn't much. Kennisha also has a little baby, out of wedlock of course.  Angie also has a son Omari who is 12 and our only Deacon at church. That is a bunch of people living there for a small 2 bedroom house. 24 feet x 20 feet. 

After we got done at Angie's we went to Sister Jane Nurses. We are looking at finishing a little room attached to where Jane lives and convert it into a store so she has the ability to make some money and take care of her self. We measured everything up and Lambert will be getting a cost for the materials. What I plan to do is have the people receiving welfare help with the project to help pay back some of the food and money they receive from the church. 

Once we got all that done I took Lambert home and went home myself. We were going to go visit Crystal who is Ashton's girlfriend. It looks like they are not going to get married after all. I found out they fight a lot. They have one son between them Amoy and she is pregnant with another son. So the situation is not to good. Crystal is looking to move out, but she has no money and a job for only 2 days a week. She says that she wants to be baptized, but I am not sure and what is her intent. Hopefully her family could help out.

Anyway, it didn't work out tonight to get over to see her. We will try again tomorrow.
