  • Visit with Ashton Daniels
  • Our first youth outing
  • Barbados Bridgetown meeting with Elder Ronald A. Rasband (Apostle)
  • BYU Football looses first game. They played lousy on offense.

This morning I got up and headed to Ashton Daniels house. He is Jane Nurse's son. I have been trying to work with him and help him get his finances straightened out. I have a plan, but for some reason he does not seem interested. We had a long talk about it and about his living situation. He is kind of messed up right now. Living with Crystal and not married and it is a bad situation. Crystal is about ready to have a baby and they are not sure if Ashton is the father. Anyway the situation is a mess. We also would like to think about a shop for them. I keep pressing Ashton on getting things cleaned up and we can start working on it, but he doesn't do that either. Sister Jane is the one suffering from it all.

Anyway after I went home to get ready for the Youth activity that starts at 1pm. We met at the church and watched a church video that goes along with the video and then we loaded up and went to the beach. We had a good time and were there until after 6pm and it was pitch black. Part of the reason we were there so late was that the bus that was supposed to pick us up was late. Very late actually. Anyway it was a fun activity. We had smores which most of the kids never had before. They had fun making them and ate a bunch. 

Finally the bus showed up and we went to the church for a Zoom broadcast from Barbados. Elder Ronald A. Rasband from the Quorum of the 12 apostles came to the island to visit. We had a missionary meeting with all the missionaries on all the islands and then we had a meeting with all the members. None came to the church. I don't think they really grasp who a apostle is. They will come out in herds for food, but no one comes to hear an apostle of the lord speak. He made a promise that if we will keep the commandments we will become a prosperous people. 

It was a fun day with the youth. They didn't ask for anything in the way of fast offerings.

BYU football team lost their first game of the year tonight. They were beat by Kansas 17-13. Their offense is not doing very good right now. I'm sure they are going to drop in the rankings and maybe out of the playoff picture. No one wants them in there anyway. People really dislike BYU for some reason. The basketball team also played tonight and won. They are 3-0 in preseason.

Wednesday, April 9, 2025 Make a video for our home ward in US Today was a build a video day for our ward back home. They are having a special primary day activity on Friday and they asked us to create a short video with our testimonies.  So I had to learn a new video maker program. I have always used Windows Movie Maker, but they no longer support it and someone else I think owns it and you can use the free version, but it is very limited. Windows 11 comes with a new program called Clipchamp. I think it is also supported by an outside company, but the free version that comes with Windows 11 has all the features I needed.  I did have to read up on how to use it and watched a bunch of Youtube videos for beginners. Between learning how to use it and using it to create a 2 minute video took all day. I finally got it done about 6:00 pm. Sunday, June 22, 2025 Sunday church was pretty smooth. Elder Esikia spoke and goes home next Saturday Lyris Davis spoke on fearing God Harvey showed up but didn't stick around My brother Bevin visiting my sister Tanya Interviewed Mohamad Joseph for temple recommend and Priesthood advancement Benjamin Joseph always asking for stuff from the church Confirmed Anette Valcin today Church went pretty smooth today. Shomario is conducting this month. He got his speakers but I think he got them late. The fact that Maya Jn Paul spoke would make me think that he probably hadn't got his speakers and asked her Saturday night. He asked Elder Esikia to speak and I gave him that suggestion on Saturday so I'm assuming he hadn't got his speakers yet. Elder Esikia spoke on how he decided to go on a mission.
