He woke up to some rain again this morning. It was pretty rainy all day actually.
We got up this morning and did our exercises and studied scriptures we have been reading scriptures from the New testament on the birth of Christ and events surrounding that.
Tina started another batch of cinnamon rolls today to deliver to people. Our plans kept changing as we mapped out our day and different things were coming up. We ended up going to mega J to buy a bunch of things that we needed for the branch party and other things for the church like drinking water. Who came home and wrapped our cinnamon rolls and then headed out to deliver them.
Our first stop was that Angie's house. She had a friend over while we were there and amari was back from his football (soccer( tournament that he had to raise $300 for. He tried to get out of him how it went that he didn't talk much and I think he got hurt so he probably didn't play too much.
This morning I was thinking about Henry who is Angie's son and really hasn't been to church too much. He blames it on his work. I'm not too sure about that but he doesn't really want to talk to me about anything so it's hard to find out where he's at church wise. He's a very talented young man and would be a great missionary this morning. I was thinking about him when I read Brad wilcox's talk in the conference report from this last conference. I always send it to Henry with testimony and encouragement to make good choices. I tried not to accuse him of anything but just encourage you and to make sure he put the church first in his life. When we went to his house to deliver the cinnamon rolls, I think he may have been home but he did not come out. One of these days. I'll grab him and spend the minute with him and see where he's at.
After Angie's we went to Samantha's house to deliver them some Cinnamon rolls but she was not home and neither was Peter. We think we saw him sitting by the road so we drove back and it was him. He told them we had some cinnamon rolls for him but he doesn't walk very well since he had his stroke and didn't want us to give it to him them. We told him we would come back and visit him on another day.
Why we were talking to him. A man with a missing leg came up and asked us for some bread. Peter was motioning for us to just go and not talk to him and another guy came up to our car and said go and don't talk to him so we left and the man went and sat by Peter.
After leaving Peter we were going to go to Yohan's house I'll give him a plate of cinnamon rolls also. Our goal was to get to his house from where we were without looking at Google maps. Well we felt like we were doing pretty good until we came to a dead end. We were not sure exactly where we were. It was a trailhead of some sort and according to Google maps the road kept going straight but it went from oil to matt and we decided that it wouldn't be the best route to take. That's all we needed was to be stuck out in the middle of nowhere and not be able to get out.
We turned around and finally had to break down and turn Google maps on. We were in some new area but we finally got to some areas that we had been in before and made it to Yohan's house. Sharlyne was home but Yohan was at work. We visited for a minute and then we went over to Yohan's work and he came out but his boss also came out. His boss is a real talker and pretty much dominated the conversation for the next half hour until we said we had other places to be. Which was anywhere but there.
Next we went to Diann's. She just got back from England a week or so ago. We gave her a plate of cinnamon rolls also and stayed and visited for quite a while. She finally had a friend come over and so we left. Getting to her place is always tricky as it is through the middle part of town and some pretty narrow streets. We may look in and out without hitting anything so we felt good about.
There were three ships in the harbor today. Two were humongous.
