- Church packed again

We had a good crowd at church again today. We had 72 people there. There were four couples off a cruise ship that came in one couple was friends with Diann Davey. She meant them when she went to England to go to the temple. The husband is not a member but the wife became friends with Diann and took her to the temple for the first time. They came in on a ship yesterday and it stayed overnight so they came to church today. Usually the cruise ships don't stay for more than one day so I'm not sure why this one did.
We had sister Moses speak to us today and she spoke on family history which I guess she is really into. She gave a very good talk though about it.
Sister Reis (pronounced) our full-time missionary from Brazil also spoke as she is going home next week. She spoke on enduring to the end. I remember that because I gave her the assignment.
We also started our new member class today taught by Sister De'Beauville. She did a really good job and had a tough member, Benjamin, who just joined the church. Who thinks that people don't really die. That's Sister D. Was good at keeping him on task and said we would talk about it later.
After church, Rouchell invited sister Jane and Ashton, Crystal and their children and all the missionaries to her house for dinner. She did not come to church today because she was preparing this huge meal and I mean huge. There was enough food there that we could have fed 10 more people than what we had. Maybe 20. She is about the best cook we've ate with on the island. Although Diann Davey is pretty good too.
She cooked rice and noodles and chicken wings and mac and cheese and Roties. And she made a bottle of sour orange juice. One of my favorites.
We were there for probably 3 or 4 hours. Eating and visiting. Crystal Ashton's girlfriend is a hairdresser and did Rouchell's hair. We were going to take them all home but they weren't ready to leave so they stayed and we left. We were stuffed.
Arcade called this evening to make final arrangements about coming. They are coming in about 3 or 4 weeks.
I called my brother Dale tonight because they are coming on Thursday to give him any last minute instructions.
This evening we held an emergency Branch Council because we have a branch party on Saturday. It is Independence Day here on the 22nd. Only two other people besides myself showed up on Zoom. I'm not sure we're going to be able to pull it off, but we gave assignments to those that were there and we'll see what happens.
