  • Walk on the beach
  • Security guard
  • Dinner with President and Sister Burnham at Marigot Bay and the Dolittle restaurant.

We got up this morning and I told Tina that I was going to Vigie beach and walk as far as we could walk on the ocean shore. It was a perfect morning to walk the beach and we walked quite a while until we got to a point where it was kind of off the main beaches then you  start worrying about getting robbed.

Walking back we run into a security guard at one of the resorts and got talking to him. That was a big mistake. He went on and on about how the world is going to pot and how the rich people are so greedy and won't help the poor people on the island. Finally after about a half hour or 45 minutes we got away from him. We went down to where were were in more public area and we just sit under a tree and watch the ocean and took a nap. It was relaxing. 

We finally left and had to go pick up flowers for mothers day tomorrow. We ordered 25 and it cost us $325 EC for 15. They told me they would be $13 a piece, but they they changed it to $15 (EC) because it was mothers day. I wasn't sure that was the case or it was because we are white. When they think we are not local they charge more. After buying the flowers we went to the church and and put them in my office and turned the AC on to keep the flowers fresh. 

They had a primary activity today to make some things for mothers day tomorrow. 

We came home and at 4pm we went and picked up President and Sister Burnham and went out to dinner. It was a nice evening. We took them to Marigot Bay and took a boat across the cove and ate at the Doolittle restaurant, named after a famous movie filmed there back in the day, Dr Doolittle or something like that. We got there at 5pm, but dinner didn't start until 6. We were just going to eat but there was nothing real good on the menu until dinner. So we got an appetizer and visited until 6 and ordered dinner. They had a buffet and it included beef so I got it. It is the first beef I have had other than hamburger since we got here. It was a nice evening and we spent about 5 hours with them. 

They had a live band playing so it was nice.

Wednesday, April 9, 2025 Make a video for our home ward in US Today was a build a video day for our ward back home. They are having a special primary day activity on Friday and they asked us to create a short video with our testimonies.  So I had to learn a new video maker program. I have always used Windows Movie Maker, but they no longer support it and someone else I think owns it and you can use the free version, but it is very limited. Windows 11 comes with a new program called Clipchamp. I think it is also supported by an outside company, but the free version that comes with Windows 11 has all the features I needed.  I did have to read up on how to use it and watched a bunch of Youtube videos for beginners. Between learning how to use it and using it to create a 2 minute video took all day. I finally got it done about 6:00 pm. Sunday, June 22, 2025 Sunday church was pretty smooth. Elder Esikia spoke and goes home next Saturday Lyris Davis spoke on fearing God Harvey showed up but didn't stick around My brother Bevin visiting my sister Tanya Interviewed Mohamad Joseph for temple recommend and Priesthood advancement Benjamin Joseph always asking for stuff from the church Confirmed Anette Valcin today Church went pretty smooth today. Shomario is conducting this month. He got his speakers but I think he got them late. The fact that Maya Jn Paul spoke would make me think that he probably hadn't got his speakers and asked her Saturday night. He asked Elder Esikia to speak and I gave him that suggestion on Saturday so I'm assuming he hadn't got his speakers yet. Elder Esikia spoke on how he decided to go on a mission.
