• Mini FSY activity at La Tille Falls

Well we finally got to the day I have been stressing out over for the past two weeks. All in all it turned out okay probably more because of the location rather than the event itself.

We started the day early getting out at 6:00 o'clock and out the door by 6:30 because all the youth were supposed to be at the church by 7. Of course we didn't believe that would happen But surprisingly enough almost everyone was there early except for our bus driver sheldon. He had to stop by the hospital to check on his mom who has a tumor. One thing about here things happen when they happen and if you're late you're just late and we start from there they're in we finally got away about 745 a M. We had two girls that had decided they didn't want to go but that wasn't going to be the case wish as far as Shomario was concerned. He called them up and told them that they needed to come and they would be up to pick them up shortly. Well they both got ready and they did pick them up. We had to run and pick up a few things for our activity that we had planned as part of our part of the program. We also picked up some games at the House and then drove over the mountain. We got there a little after the bus but I don't think too much after.

By this time it was 10-A M. We were supposed to start at 8. No problem we just started at 10 and had breakfast. Then we broke up into groups and had classes one of the groups went to a pond where they have a bunch of little fish in it and you stick your feet in and the fish supposedly give you a massage by cleaning your feet. I have to say I cannot keep my feet in there because it tickles so much. I kept sticking my feet in and finally I guess your feet get used to it and it didn't tickle anymore there were a lot of fish eating skin off my feet or something.

The group things went OK but nothing great the kids didn't have scriptures which would have helped a lot because they are supposed to look up things and talk about their feelings about them. Anyway after two classes it was time for lunch but the people making it hadn't got back yet so we played some games and they had fun doing that. I probably said this before but the big game they loved to play is Domino's.

Find my lunch got there and we ate by this time it was almost two o'clock. So according to our schedule we were way behind schedule as far as what we had originally planned but it actually worked out OK because the counselors who are doing the classes didn't have a lot of information so we were getting done early on almost everything.

After lunch we had a couple's presentation which was supposed to be Johan and Charlene but they couldn't make it because Johan had been asked to do the baptism of a convert today we tried to find another couple but we don't have many to choose from so it ended up being us. We really wanted a local couple to do it. Anyway it went okay we did a presentation on the temple and the temple questions and played a game that they seem to have fun with. Course we gave them a piece of candy every time they got a question right so they were all in on that.

The place we went to was called La Tille Falls. It is beautiful there. After our presentation was over everybody changed into their swimsuits and we all went swimming down at the fall. But those of you who are familiar with the book of Mormon there's a picture in the book called The Waters of Mormon and that is what this place look like. They had fun swimming and we did that for about 45 minutes maybe an hour and then we went and cleaned up and then they brought us dinner which I think everybody took home because we were pretty full from breakfast and lunch. And we went home. I was exhausted and was asleep by 15 to 8.
