  • Darren Barbe to the hospital
  • Jane Nurse to blood test

This morning we went up to pick up Darren Barbe to take him to the hospital for physical therapy. We dropped him off and then went and picked up Jane Nurse and took her to get some blood work to see if the medications she is taking are working. That took about an hour to get Jane taken care of. We stopped at the Cafeteria in the hospital and got her something to eat as she had been fasting since last night. They had a red velvet cake there that looked pretty good, but we were short a dollar. The lady behind the food bar must have felt sorry for me and let me have it for a dollar less. It was delicious. 

After we were done there we took Sister Jane home. There was someone parked in front of her house. Because she is missing a leg it is a little difficult to get her in and out of her house. They don't believe in any handicap stuff, you just have to make it best you can. Turns out it was her daughter and son-in-law and they helped get her in the house. We took her wheel chair back to the church where we keep it for Sundays and there is no where she can use it at her house. I don't know if I have ever explained where and how she gets to her bathroom. It is behind her house and she has to climb up some rocks with her one leg and climb into a bathroom/shower looking thing. Once she goes she has to dump a bucket of water into the toilet to get it to flush. It would be treacherous for a person with two legs, especially at night. We really need to make it better.

We went home waiting for Darren to call and let us know he was done. It was 3:30 or so when he finally called. I had to go back down town and pick him up and then take him back up North to his container. I'm not sure if I said they have moved his container across the street from where he lived. He isn't real happy about it, but he had no choice since he is just living there and doesn't own anything. Anyway a lady who works for some group stopped by and they did not like the situation he was living in and said they are working to get him a better place to live. That would be nice.

Wednesday, April 9, 2025 Make a video for our home ward in US Today was a build a video day for our ward back home. They are having a special primary day activity on Friday and they asked us to create a short video with our testimonies.  So I had to learn a new video maker program. I have always used Windows Movie Maker, but they no longer support it and someone else I think owns it and you can use the free version, but it is very limited. Windows 11 comes with a new program called Clipchamp. I think it is also supported by an outside company, but the free version that comes with Windows 11 has all the features I needed.  I did have to read up on how to use it and watched a bunch of Youtube videos for beginners. Between learning how to use it and using it to create a 2 minute video took all day. I finally got it done about 6:00 pm. Sunday, June 22, 2025 Sunday church was pretty smooth. Elder Esikia spoke and goes home next Saturday Lyris Davis spoke on fearing God Harvey showed up but didn't stick around My brother Bevin visiting my sister Tanya Interviewed Mohamad Joseph for temple recommend and Priesthood advancement Benjamin Joseph always asking for stuff from the church Confirmed Anette Valcin today Church went pretty smooth today. Shomario is conducting this month. He got his speakers but I think he got them late. The fact that Maya Jn Paul spoke would make me think that he probably hadn't got his speakers and asked her Saturday night. He asked Elder Esikia to speak and I gave him that suggestion on Saturday so I'm assuming he hadn't got his speakers yet. Elder Esikia spoke on how he decided to go on a mission.
