  • Went to Castries to get letters signed by parents and notarized
  • Traveled to Barbados and met the Kowallas's
  • Turtles laying eggs on the beach

We traveled to Barbados today to spend a couple of days with the Kowallis who are missionaries there But before we left we went down to Castries and got paperwork done Two of our youth that went to FSY. When they go to Guyana they want them to have a notarized letter that their parents gave them permission to travel with someone else. We got that taken care of and went back to our house and packed to go to Barbados

The trip was pretty uneventful and the koalas were waiting for us at airport. We went to their home and dropped our stuff off and had dinner and then we went to a beach to look for turtles coming up and laying eggs in the sand. We were told they don't come out until 8 or 9 so we went late. When we got there we seen a few tracks where they had come up but we couldn't find any turtles but we walked the beach on the boardwalk and found a turtle digging a hole to lay its eggs. It was a fairly good sized turtle probably three feet by two feet. We got some pictures watched it for a while then kept walking and before long we found another one who had just finished laying its eggs and was heading back to the ocean. There are these turtle patrol people that make sure you don't disturb them too much and they were very close by making sure that the turtle made it safely back to the ocean. After seeing that turtle and getting poured on by rain we decided to head back to our vehicle and on the way we saw some turtle tracks that we noticed went way back into the trees so we followed them and found another turtle laying eggs. These turtles are pretty massive and impressive to look at Got some good pictures and when we were done we went back to the house. There was another couple that also went with us Their names were the Humphries and they are from England. She is the mission nurse and her husband is not a member but very supportive of her They were a fun couple to hang around with.

Wednesday, April 9, 2025 Make a video for our home ward in US Today was a build a video day for our ward back home. They are having a special primary day activity on Friday and they asked us to create a short video with our testimonies.  So I had to learn a new video maker program. I have always used Windows Movie Maker, but they no longer support it and someone else I think owns it and you can use the free version, but it is very limited. Windows 11 comes with a new program called Clipchamp. I think it is also supported by an outside company, but the free version that comes with Windows 11 has all the features I needed.  I did have to read up on how to use it and watched a bunch of Youtube videos for beginners. Between learning how to use it and using it to create a 2 minute video took all day. I finally got it done about 6:00 pm. Sunday, June 22, 2025 Sunday church was pretty smooth. Elder Esikia spoke and goes home next Saturday Lyris Davis spoke on fearing God Harvey showed up but didn't stick around My brother Bevin visiting my sister Tanya Interviewed Mohamad Joseph for temple recommend and Priesthood advancement Benjamin Joseph always asking for stuff from the church Confirmed Anette Valcin today Church went pretty smooth today. Shomario is conducting this month. He got his speakers but I think he got them late. The fact that Maya Jn Paul spoke would make me think that he probably hadn't got his speakers and asked her Saturday night. He asked Elder Esikia to speak and I gave him that suggestion on Saturday so I'm assuming he hadn't got his speakers yet. Elder Esikia spoke on how he decided to go on a mission.
